A children's care home plan for a five-bedroom home has been put forward for a house in a Leicestershire cul-de-sac. Applicant Hussein Essajee has submitted the plan for a home in Prince Drive, Oadby.

The care home would cater for three children under the age of 18, supported by a total of six staff, according to the application. The children might have learning difficulties , be vulnerable or may have mental health issues, it adds.

Mr Essajee has said that the property would "not be altered in appearance from the outside, with only internal alterations being made". The five parking spaces at the front of the property would remain, documents add.
