Police were looking for at least two people Wednesday in connection with two fatal shootings that erupted in the Bronx in broad daylight Tuesday, NYPD officials said.
Officials said the first incident happened around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday near East 176th Street and Anthony Avenue in Mount Hope. Officers found 32-year-old Bronx resident Clay Monsanto shot in his back, according to police.
First responders took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He lived about a block from the scene, the NYPD said.
Officials said they were searching for a man about 50 years old who was last seen in a black hoodie, black pants and blue sneakers. The motive for the shooting was still under investigation early Wednesday.
Several hours later, just after 1 p.m. Tuesday, gunfire rang out a
