It seems like all anyone has been talking about on social media the last several days, is Cracker Barrel's controversial decision to change their marketing strategy.
While the entire country debated the rebranded logo, Mainers watched from the sidelines with one recurring thought: Why is there still no Cracker Barrel here in the first place?
After a huge backlash, the restaurant chain quickly decided to go back to the original image of the iconic old-timer and barrel, yet the Pine Tree State still is without a location, not even near the Maine Turnpike, where thousands of hungry travelers would definitely love to get off an exit for a plate of chicken-fried steak and a side of biscuits.
Now to clarify, there was a location in South Portland for over 15 years, but it closed for good, in
