With the Mizzou Tigers set to kick off their season under the lights Thursday night in Columbia, the Missouri Department of Transportation is sounding the alarm for drivers and fans alike: if you’re heading down I-70, it’s time to get your game plan in place .

Jeff Gander, Project Manager with MoDOT, told Missourinet work to improve and add a third lane in each direction to I-70 is well underway, specifically in the area between Columbia and Kingdom City.

“We’re going to be working in that area between 136 and 144,” said Gander. “The good news is we do most of that work at night, so we should not have any lane drops affecting people going to the game.
