A Burn Ban for Northumberland County has been officially lifted.

In a press release, the Northumberland County Fire Chiefs Association said that due to cooler temperatures and significant rain, the open air burn ban is no longer needed.

Residents are reminded to follow their local Municipal open-air burning by-laws and to always use extreme

caution when performing open air burns.
