Coloradans like to think we're smart — the state ranks second in the country for educational attainment , according to US News and World Report , the arbiter of all things colleges, doctors, and life in the magazine world. (Without US News and World Report , how would we know we're the least obese state in the nation in 2025?)
But the kids have some work to do.
The preeminent ranker of educational institutions dropped its annual report on the nation's high schools earlier this month, evaluating schools across the country in factors like college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency and performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rates.
We're disheartened to pass along that none of Denver Public Schools ' upper-class institutions
