Two British women on holiday in Ibiza were in hospital after they were reportedly run over by a taxi.

Lauren Holmes, 27, and Ebony Cordingley, 26, were enjoying what should have been their last night on the Spanish island when they were seriously hurt.

The mums were hit by a car allegedly driven by a 24-year-old Spanish man in the early hours of Tuesday, August 26. Their loved ones flew out to be at their bedsides.

Ms Holmes' mum Bernice Ramsden said the two friends, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, had been enjoying a four-night break.
