The students and college football are back, which means the Iowa City corridor will be buzzing with activity over the weekend.
The Labor Day holiday typically is an unofficial close to the summer, but with a bevy of events planned, the end is anything but near.

Start the weekend early with jam band, Goose
Thursday: The annual Hancher Auditorium Welcome Back Concert marks the start of the new school year for University of Iowa students and the greater Iowa City community. The concert is headlined by jam band, Goose , while the Hawkeye drumline will warm up the crowd.
This year's free concert starts at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, on the Hancher green. DJ Crimson Mask gets the party started at 6:30 p.m.
