(NewsNation) — Authorities in Minneapolis are responding to an active shooter situation at a church and Catholic school.

The ATF confirmed that agents are responding to an active shooter situation at Annunciation Church. FBI agents are also on the way to the scene.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said he has been briefed on the situation.

The Associated Press reported that students were being evacuated, according to a person who answered the phone at the school.

Annunciation School serves pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Classes began on Monday and the school was scheduled to have an all-school mass on Wednesday morning.

Yesterday, six people were shot and one killed outside Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, located four miles away from Annunciation.
