After the mass rescission of federal grants earlier this year and the continued slog of a slow pandemic recovery, more than 900 Washington arts and culture organizations are getting a welcome injection of cash — $10 million in total.

The funding comes from Allen Family Philanthropies, formerly known as the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, and ArtsFund, a statewide arts advocacy and grant-making nonprofit. They are sending grants ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 to 930 arts and cultural groups in the state as part of the third round of their Community Accelerator Grant program, the organizations announced Tuesday.

Recipients of the $10 million are spread across all 39 Washington counties and range from small community organizations in Pend Oreille County, Twisp in Okanogan County and Yakima
