As summer slowly fades and autumn approaches, Labor Day arrives as more than just a long weekend – it’s a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate. While many of us look forward to the cookouts, parades, festivals, street fairs, and final beach trips of the season, we appreciate the meaning of the holiday. It’s a celebration of workers who show up every day, work hard, and build and rebuild the country each day. Workers all support each other. Because we work together, we are not having to spend every waking moment growing our own food, building our own cottages, sewing our own clothes, etc. As we become more and more specialized, we also are more interdependent in a very complex society, bringing the quality of life higher and higher for us all.
