Not To Be Forgotten
To The Editor:
The attacks of September 11th on the United States and particularly New York seem to be a fading memory. The enormous loss of life and liberties that resulted will forever impact families and the relationships of our citizens to their government, as well as how Americans view foreign nations.
To those unaffected by a tragic loss at the Towers, it may become just a memory.
As long as family members and their descendants live, rather than closure it has become and always will remain accepting that the loved one is beyond reach.
The Memorial at Ground Zero garners less attention yearly, as does the Service at the Pentagon or the Pennsylvania field where brave passengers arose to fight the hijackers. Turnout can be anticipated to be low and the ringing o
