On Friday, August 22 a black BMW crashed at the intersection of Broadway and 36th Street. The impact was so great it tore down the street sign pole that was attached to the traffic light, ripping it all from the concrete. The corner of DII Deals & Discounts was also hit and a parking meter was torn from the ground. Due to the collision several street closures were put in place on Broadway from 35th Street to 37th Street, and 36th Street between Broadway and 30th Avenue. No word on the extent of the injuries or what caused the crash. —Story & Photos Melissa Cipolla Mennona
