After serving as a migrant shelter, a former factory and warehouse complex in Clinton Hill will be redeveloped as mixed-income housing with a new skyscraper and adaptive reuse of existing factory buildings, according to Brownstoner .
The project, at 47 Hall St., will include around 611 apartments, of which about 150 will be permanently affordable, Brownstoner reported. There will also be retail and commercial spaces, including smaller maker spaces.
The 10-building site near the Brooklyn Navy Yard occupies an entire block, totaling 2.6 acres, in Clinton Hill. Developer RXR is calling for demolishing two of 10 existing buildings, replacing them with a new 21-story building, and refurbishing eight others for residential, retail, small commercial and self-storage use.
