The Rhode Island prosecutor who told officers they’d “regret” putting her in handcuffs has been placed on unpaid leave, officials said. Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Flanagan, who was arrested for trespassing on Aug. 14, will be given 6 months suspension without pay, AG Peter F. Neronha said in a statement. “Flanagan mistreated the Newport Police Department and embarrassed herself, the Office, and frankly me,” he continued. The following bodycam video shows the viral encounter between Flanagan and police as they tried to detain her for failing to comply with their demands.
