There was a real-world tremor out of Iowa on Tuesday. I realize we're all living in Cloud Cuckoo Land these days, but people are still holding elections in which real people cast real votes. Remember this name: Catelin Dray. From the Des Moines Register:

Democrat Catelin Drey has pulled off a victory in a special election for the Iowa Senate, flipping a Republican-held seat and breaking the GOP's supermajority in the chamber for the first time in three years. Drey won with 55 percent of the vote to Republican Christopher Prosch's 44 percent, according to unofficial results from the Woodbury County Auditor's Office.

Breaking the Republican supermajority is undoubtedly a good thing in that it can work as a brake on Governor Kim Reynolds's desperate attempt to be relevant in the MAGAvers
