ABC7 morning anchor and Southern California native Leslie Sykes is retiring after three decades with the network.

Sykes announced her retirement in a segment aired on Wednesday, Aug. 27, and thanked audiences for letting her be part of their day, describing it as an “honor.”

“You graciously welcomed me into your homes, and I want you to know that I so appreciate it, and I’ll never take it for granted,” Sykes said. “I’ve had the honor of telling your stories, meeting many of you incredible people across Southern California, and working with the team here at Eyewitness News that truly feels like family.”
