ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Clayton County police officer is being treated after he suffered a medical emergency at an Atlanta convenience store overnight.
Police say the officer “experienced a medical emergency” at the QuikTrip located at 5185 Highway 85 around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
He was taken to Grady Hospital where police confirm he is in stable condition.
“We ask the community to please keep our officer in your thoughts and prayers during this time,” the police department said.

No word has been given about what the medical emergency was, but police told Atlanta News First it was not caused by any criminal activity.
