RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Sherral Crawley, the troubled owner of No Limit Towing, was found guilty of issuing a bad check for less than $1,000 in Richmond on Wednesday.
The investigation into Crawley and her towing business began in December 2022, with the Richmond Police Department investigating claims that vehicles were being towed from unauthorized areas and customers were being overcharged.
When serving a search warrant on her business in 2023, police expanded on these allegations, stating that vehicles were being taken from private lots, then demolished or sold in violation of Virginia law. “Dozens of residents” were reportedly impacted by this conspiracy.
Crawley turned herself in to the department a few days after that search took place. Years later, she faces a swath of charges.
