CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WWSB) - You don’t tug on Superman’s cape and, apparently, you don’t break into Batman’s truck, Cape Coral Police said.
At about 2 a.m. Aug. 27, Kyle Myvett was awakened in his Cape Coral home when his home security cameras alerted him to someone breaking into his vehicle.
Still dressed in his Batman pajamas, Myvett went outside to investigate and saw the suspect rummaging through his truck. Moments later, he saw the same suspect in his neighbor’s garage.
Myett leaped into action and detained the suspected burglar until police arrived.
The suspect was identified as Justin Schimpl, 20. Detectives allege Schimpl broke into both vehicles and stole multiple items including two pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses valued at $300 each, cash, a woman’s wristlet, and more than $500 in
