Q: Why did you decide to become a doctor?
ZM: I’ve always had a passion for service, science, and teaching. I come from a family of teachers, and I always thought that’s what I would do too. During college and after college I was a server at various restaurants and explored teaching as a substitute teacher. But it wasn’t until I started working as a nurse’s aide in the local hospital in Kalispell that I discovered healthcare as an option. A career as a doctor combines four important career pillars: Service, teaching, science, and continued personal growth.
