FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WV News) — The Fairmont State University Board of Governors approved the first two implementation plans from the school's 10-year strategic vision on Wednesday, focusing on student affairs and enrollment management.

The university's 10-year strategic vision was approved by the board in June . The overall vision is made up of 11 separate implementation plans, which are set to be introduced to the board in chunks of two or three periodically through the fall 2027 semester.

Fairmont State Chief of Staff Brian Selmeski said that slowly introducing the plans in groups over the next two years will have a much greater outcome than attempting to initiate all 11 plans at once.
