AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Williamson County District Attorney’s Office announced it was partnering with the Human Trafficking Institute to help boost efforts against human trafficking and child exploitation. The effort was part of an enforcement initiative in Texas.

The DA’s office said the partnership launched Monday with a three-day training.

“This intensive training equipped local prosecutors and law enforcement officers with knowledge on Texas-specific legal frameworks, proactive victim identification, advanced investigative methods, trauma-informed engagement, the use of digital evidence, and effective multidisciplinary collaboration,” the DA’s office said.
