Hot Tub Drowning: Fatal Incident Probed In Montague, Reports Say

A 66-year-old woman was found unresponsive in a hot tub in a Sussex County home early Tuesday, Aug. 26, authorities confirm.

The Montague woman had been seen alive the night before, according to Assistant Prosecutor Jonathan E. McMeen.

Emergency responders, the New Jersey State Police crime scene investigators and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office processed the scene on River Road. 

"At this time, officials say there are no immediate signs of foul play, and the cause of death will be determined following an autopsy," McMeen said.
