HOUSTON - An officer was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after a crash in Houston, police say.

What we know:
According to the Houston Police Department, the officer, believed to be from another agency, was involved in a crash around 1:30 p.m. at Fellows and Cullen, on the city's south side.
The officer was taken to the hospital. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the officer is in critical condition.
The sheriff says the officer was on a motorcycle at the time of the crash and was assisting in an escort.
What we don't know:
The agency the officer is with has not been confirmed.
It’s unclear how many other vehicles were involved in the crash or what happened.
