MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — Travelers on Interstate 79 in Monongalia County should expect temporary minor inconveniences this week as the West Virginia Division of Highways carries out two maintenance projects.

Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 27, the far right southbound travel lane at the Tom’s Run Bridge, near mile marker 145, will be closed nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Thursday, Aug. 28. Crews will be conducting repair work during overnight hours in an effort to limit daytime traffic impacts. Officials warn drivers to expect delays and allow extra time for travel. The schedule may be adjusted in the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
