BRADENTON, Fla. ( WWSB ) - A martial arts instructor who pleaded no contest to having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl was sentenced to five years in prison Aug. 27, court records show.

Brennan Brown, 25, was sentenced to 64 months in jail, to be followed by two years of probation.

He must register as a sex offender for life, records show.

Brown was arrested on May 6, 2024, after allegations surfaced that he had repeated sexual encounters with a minor whom he met at the Ancient Ways Martial Arts Academy in Bradenton.

The two then communicated through social media and met in person, according to reports.

During the investigation in 2024, the underage girl told authorities that they had sexual relations on multiple occasions, investigators said.
