H-E-B announced Tuesday the top ten finalists for its 12th annual Quest for Texas Best competition, with a McAllen-based product representing the Rio Grande Valley.

Sully Villareal’s Deli Spice Cooking Spices made the cut amid hundreds of submissions, with H-E-B officials noting this year’s search garnered more than 370 products from about 150 cities across Texas.

Now, Villareal will present his product and share his story on Sept. 25 in front of a panel of judges selected by the company in its headquarters of San Antonio.

The judges will determine the top four winning products, with the grand prize winner receiving $50,000, the title of “Texas Best,” and their product placed on H-E-B shelves. The other prizes include $25,000 to the first place winner; $15,000 to the second place winner
