The Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) hosted its 5th annual Queens Special Needs Summer Picnic on Saturday August 16, bringing together approximately 400 participants for a day of celebration, resource sharing, and community building at the Queens Botanical Garden’s Four Seasons Border and Circle Garden. The event addressed ongoing challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers, providing crucial information about accessing services such as homecare, transportation support, public assistance, and benefits through interactive resource tables and direct connections with service providers.
