BEDFORD — A documentary film exploring the devastating impact of the opioid and fentanyl crisis will be shown at StoneGate Arts & Education on Tuesday, September 9, at 6 p.m.. Admission to the screening of The Addict’s Wake is free, and tickets are not required.
The film focuses on a small town that has felt the ripple effects of the addiction crisis throughout its community and families. According to film producer Lisa Hall, president of Glory Girl Productions, the documentary is a “clarion call for community stakeholders to unite resources and ideologies to fight back against substance-use disorder at a grass-roots level”. The film follows a community searching for hope and solutions on the “long journey from addiction to recovery”.
