PATOKA LAKE — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has temporarily closed the public access boat launch at Patoka Lake Tail Waters due to high water levels.

The closure was requested by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which has increased the water discharge rate from the dam as a safety precaution. The boat launch will remain closed until water levels return to normal.

Boaters are advised to use alternative access points, which are listed on the DNR’s “Where to Fish” map.
