Update: The shelter-in-place order was lifted just before 1:20 p.m., and the suspect is reportedly in custody, law enforcement officials said.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office issued a shelter-in-place order for the 1300 block of Burnham Street in the Stratmoor area Wednesday morning shortly after 9 a.m.
Ira Cronin, a spokesperson with the Colorado Springs Police Department, said officers attempted to serve a felony warrant just after 8 a.m., but the situation has turned into a stand off.
No details about the warrant were made available. The SWAT team is also on scene, Cronin said, as of 10:30 a.m.
Residents in the area are encouraged to lock their doors and stay away from any windows.
