HARRINGTON — The top industrial park prospect for Harrington received a second round of grant funds from the state, this time from site readiness funds up to $900,000 to cover costs for coordinating infrastructure development.

The Harrington Industrial Park broke ground last week but is expected to see its final site plan on the books in the next couple of months, according to Harrington officials.

For years, Harrington has planned for a 131-acre industrial park off Messick Road and the U.S. 13 with the added bonus of being a stone’s throw from the railroad that runs through the town. Plans show that there could be 10 parcels on the site with the potential to bring 750 jobs to Harrington.
