The Summit County Weeds Division will host its seventh Community Noxious Weeds Tour on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The tour will aim to educate residents on the “most-wanted” weeds in Summit County. Attendees should meet at the Richardson Flat Park and Ride, 3345 E Richardson Flat Road, and RSVP for free at summitcounty.info/weedstour25.
Utah’s leading biocontrol expert, Amber Mendenhall, will show and tell how Summit County is harnessing noxious weeds’ natural enemies, like insects, to slow, contain and control their spread.
Plus, additional partners, like Summit CWMA and Basin Recreation, will also be on hand to share expertise and insights on effective weed control.
