Scott touts voluntary paid family and medical leave program

MONTPELIER — Gov. Phil Scott said Wednesday that an optional program employers could use to provide their workers with paid time off is doing well.

The Vermont Family and Medical Leave Insurance program became available in 2022 to state employees, said the Governor. Later it would become available to employers and individuals who weren’t covered.
