Detectives are investigating a fatal collision on Aug. 26 that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old motorcyclist, Phoenix police said.
The crash occurred about 5:22 p.m. near 22 nd Street and Campbell Avenue where officers found Camden Allen Riedy in critical condition. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived and took Riedy to a hospital where he died, police said.
Preliminary information suggests the motorcyclist “made an unsafe pass on the right while traveling west on Campbell Avenue and utilized the bike lane,” according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
The woman driving the other vehicle, traveling west on Campbell Avenue, approached 22nd Street and attempted to make a right turn, police said.
She remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
