The Boulder County Coroner has determined that Karen Diamond died because of third-degree burns sustained in the Pearl Street firebombing attack and related complications.

According to an autopsy report released today, Diamond also had a broken arm.

Diamond, 82, was among the people attacked June 1 while participating in a walk by the group Run for Our Lives, which advocates for the release of the remaining 50 hostages held by Hamas since an October 2023 attack on Israel. After spending weeks in the hospital, Diamond died on June 25.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, was charged with first-degree murder in her death, along with a slew of other charges in both state and federal court for injuring 14 other people and a dog. He also faces nine hate-crime charges.
