Fort Bend County commissioners on Tuesday appointed additional people to a redistricting advisory committee and voted to give themselves and other elected officials an annual raise.
The county commissioners have been locked in a partisan battle over redistricting for several months.
In February, Republican state Rep. Matt Morgan reached out to commissioners about the county's voter precincts – about a fifth of which are out of compliance with state population requirements because they include too many or too few voters.
