BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Eckert's Farms is gearing up for another season this fall.

FOX 2 spoke with Chris Eckert, owner of Eckert's Country Store and Farms, about how the rollercoaster ride of St. Louis weather has treated fall crops.

With the wet spring we experienced at the beginning of the growing season, Eckert mentioned it was tough on pollination, so some varieties of apples did not pollinate as well as others in recent years.

However, Eckert's still has plenty of apples ready to be picked this fall.

Their pumpkins are blossoming and blooming. Eckert's says they still have a few more weeks until they are ready to pick. Pick-Your-Own-Pumpkins begins late September through October.
