PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two police officers and another driver were taken to the hospital after a crash early Wednesday morning in north Phoenix.
First responders were called to the reported crash around 4:20 a.m. at 19th Avenue and Dunlap Avenue . It involved a police SUV and two pickup trucks.
Phoenix Police said the police vehicle was hit by one of the pickup trucks. Two officers in the SUV were taken to the hospital for precautionary measures, Arizona’s Family confirmed at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck that reportedly caused the crash is believed to have been intoxicated. He was also hospitalized, but the extent of his injuries is unclear.
The intersection of 19th Avenue and Dunlap was blocked for several hours, but it was reopened around 7 a.m.
