A former No. 1 overall pick may be on the move in the offseason.

The decision by the Baltimore Orioles to sign top catching prospect Samuel Basallo to an eight-year contract extension may signal that the organization is looking to move Adley Rutschman in an offseason trade.

While there will be several suitors for Rutschman if he becomes available, Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer believes that the San Francisco Giants are the top landing spot.

"Posey demonstrated with the Rafael Devers trade that he's willing to take big swings on the trade market instead," Rymer wrote. "Another for Rutschman would bring real upside to the Bay Area, and it wouldn't hurt that he's something of a Posey acolyte with the way he plays."
