TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A daytime drop-in center that helps serve vulnerable neighbors in Tampa has been closed; several partners are working together to reopen "The Shop" and to get essential services back to those who need them.

Think of the building off of North Nebraska Avenue known as "The Shop" as a spot for people either experiencing homelessness or who are just down on their luck to come take a shower, do their laundry, and even receive mail.

Unfortunately, the doors were closed weeks ago, but different organizations are coming together to try and get it reopened.

"The Shop" was most recently operated by Gracepoint, but now the organization called Wellbuilt Cities is trying to get the doors back open.
