ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Henry County crews are going to fix a drain pipe that has caused flooding concerns for a group of homeowners.
Last week, Ronda Hill and her neighbors told Atlanta News First that rain leads to major flooding in the yards of their homes on Reserve Parkway. At the time, Hill claimed this has been an ongoing problem because of a pipe issue.
On Wednesday, Henry County Director of Stormwater Josue De Jesus told Atlanta News First the pipe does need to be cleaned out and eventually replaced.
“There is some debris in the pipe and that is causing a backup of stormwater runoff,” he said. “We’re looking to upsize the pipe. We do believe there is an increase in runoff in the area, so upsizing the pipe would help us find a permanent solution to the concern.”
