MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A worker at an East Valley drug rehab center is accused of exchanging drugs to a former underage patient.
On Aug. 22, Mesa authorities received a report involving an employee at an unnamed inpatient drug rehabilitation facility that’s designed for children and teens. The employee, 39-year-old Ashley Lutton, reportedly offered to sell Adderall to a 17-year-old patient who had recently been discharged from the facility.
The teen’s mother contacted the center after finding text messages between her son and Lutton. The texts showed Lutton offering the teen drugs and the two arranging a meet-up location. Other messages also allegedly showed Lutton requesting fentanyl and OxyContin from the boy.
