ATLANTA — Georgia voters, check your registration: The state is auditing its voter rolls again .
Georgia's Elections Division has mailed out notices to 27,450 people who, according to its records, have moved out of state. The notices were mailed last week as part of the next phase of this year's voter registration maintenance audit.
"We will be encouraging these people to cancel their Georgia voter registrations if they have moved," Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said in a news release. He added that if the identified individuals still live in Georgia or have returned to Georgia, they can return the notice to maintain their status or mark themselves active in the state's system.
