SEBAGO, Maine (WMTW) - The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office confirms to our media partners WMTW that a woman from New Hampshire drowned in Sebago Lake in the town of Sebago Wednesday.

Police say the woman was found unconscious in the water at about 11:30 a.m.

Just before 2:00 p.m., WMTW saw police, the Maine Warden Service and a dive team from the fire department at the scene, which was on private property off Sokokis Road, which is on a point in North Sebago.

At about 2:45 p.m., police confirmed to WMTW that the victim was a 41-year-old woman from Manchester, New Hampshire.
