Neighborhood evacuated after military ordnance found inside east Wichita home

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – Police say a man renovating an east Wichita home called 911 after finding a suspicious device inside.

In a post on the department's Facebook page, police say the ordnance was found inside a home in the 700 block of North Stratford. Residents near the area have been evacuated, and the department's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit is en route.
