RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A Virginia military base is once again changing it’s name, after doing so only a couple of years ago.
Fort Walker will now be called Fort A.P. Hill, a familiar title that many still refer to it.
The new name honors three Union soldiers, all who were awarded the Medal of Honor and praised for their heroic actions during the Civil War.
The full title, Fort Anderson-Pinn-Hill, is named after Private Bruce Anderson, First Sergeant Alexander Pinn, and Lieutenant Colonel Edward Hill.
