A 22-year-old Tulsa man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to a fatal shooting in December 2023 outside Woodland Hills Mall.
Deonte Michael Crump was initially charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Kierstan “KJ” Love, 21. In an agreement with prosecutors, Crump pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of first-degree manslaughter after waiving his right to a jury trial.
Tulsa County District Judge David Guten sentenced Crump to 20 years in prison on the manslaughter charge, to be followed by 10 years' imprisonment for possession of a firearm while under Department of Corrections supervision. Online court records indicate the two sentences will be served consecutively.
