Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki shamed Christians on Wednesday who were praying for those afflicted in the Annunciation Catholic School shooting.

A now-deceased gunman fatally shot two children, ages eight and ten, and injured 17 others by opening fire through the window of the Catholic Church during a Mass service. Following the tragedy, Psaki wrote on X that “prayers” are “not freaking enough” to stop school shootings.

“Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings. [P]rayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers,” Psaki wrote on X.
